Hydraulic Press Refurbishing & Repair for Rubber Manufacturing

What Press Refurbishing Covers

A hydraulic press refurbishment restores the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems that determine how well the press performs in production. WCRM’s press service work includes:

Hydraulic System Overhaul

Inspection and replacement of pumps, valves, seals, cylinders, and manifolds. Hydraulic power unit service including fluid system cleaning and component replacement as required.

Cylinder & Ram Service

Cylinder and ram inspection, re-chroming, honing, and seal replacement to restore stroke precision and seal integrity. New cylinders available where refurbishment is not the best option.

Platen Replacement or Refacing

Worn, warped, or damaged platens replaced with new WCRM-manufactured platens or refaced to restore flatness and surface condition. Heating system inspection and restoration as required.

Control System Updates

Relay logic replacement with PLC controls, operator panel replacement, pressure transducer updates, and temperature control modernization.

Safety Upgrades

Emergency stop systems, interlocking, guarding, and compliance with current safety requirements.

Structural Inspection

Press frame, tie rods, and structural components inspected for wear, deformation, and integrity.

Presses We Refurbish and Repair

Compression Molding Presses

Single and multi-daylight rubber compression presses. Hydraulic, platen, and control refurbishment for standard and high-temperature applications.

Vacuum Molding Presses

VP Series and third-party vacuum presses. Vacuum system inspection, enclosure seal replacement, pump service, and control updates to restore vacuum performance.

Lamination Presses

Flat-bed lamination and bonding presses. Platen refacing, hydraulic service, and control updates for single and multi-opening configurations.

Matching the Scope to the Situation

Not every press problem requires a full refurbishment. WCRM can address specific failures—a leaking cylinder, a failed pump, a worn platen—as targeted repairs when the rest of the press is in acceptable condition. When multiple systems have degraded or when the press needs to meet updated safety or production requirements, a broader refurbishment makes more sense. We help you determine the right scope during the initial evaluation.

Process Control Upgrades – Accudyne Hydraulic Presses

Do you service presses from other manufacturers?

Yes. We service and refurbish hydraulic rubber presses from most manufacturers. Provide the press type, make and model if known, and a description of the issues and we can discuss what the work involves.

Can you increase the tonnage of an existing press during a refurbishment?

Tonnage increases are possible in some cases but depend on the structural limits of the existing frame and hydraulic system. We review feasibility as part of the initial evaluation.

What is the fastest way to get an emergency press repair handled?

Call us directly. For urgent repair situations, we prioritize getting a response and assessment underway quickly. Provide the press type and a description of the failure so we can begin evaluating what is needed.

Do you offer on-site press repair?

Contact us to discuss. Some repair work can be done at your facility; other situations require the press to come to our shop for proper evaluation and repair.
