When the Part No Longer Exists 

Older rubber processing equipment is often still worth keeping in service—but finding replacement parts for machines that are decades old can be a significant challenge. WCRM’s in-house machining operation means that when a standard replacement is not available, we can often fabricate the component from the original specifications, a dimensional drawing, or a sample part. We are not limited to what we can order from a catalog.

Knowing When to Replace Parts vs. Rebuild the Machine 

Targeted parts replacement makes sense when the equipment is otherwise in good condition and a specific component has failed or worn out. When a machine shows wear across multiple systems—rolls, bearings, gears, safety hardware—replacing individual parts without addressing the underlying machine condition is a short-term fix. A full rebuild handles everything in one scope and is typically more economical for a machine with accumulated wear. WCRM can help you assess which approach makes more sense for your situation. 

Do you carry parts for equipment you did not originally manufacture? 

Yes. We supply and fabricate parts for rubber mills, presses, and mixers from most major manufacturers. 

What information do I need to request a parts quote? 

The equipment type, manufacturer and model if known, and the part description with dimensions or a part number if available. Photos of the part and the installation location are helpful. For hard-to-find parts, a dimensional sketch or a sample part to measure from is the best starting point. 

Can you fabricate a part if I send you a sample? 

Yes. We can measure and reverse-engineer a sample part and fabricate a replacement to those dimensions. This is a common approach for components where drawings are no longer available. 

How quickly can replacement parts be supplied? 

Lead time depends on the part type and complexity. Standard items like bearings and seal kits can often be turned around quickly. Custom-machined or fabricated components require more lead time. We provide a timeline with the quote.
